Harveys Supermarkets - Georgia-based Harveys Supermarkets worked with Gleason Technology to implement better store safety practices, including the installation the GleasonESP^® system. As a result, within a year, the 45-store chain significantly reduced its slip/fall incidents, and claim costs plummeted by 72 percent - on top of significantly reduced premium costs.

Altoona Giant Eagle - After instituting the GleasonESP^® system, the high-volume Giant Eagle store in Altoona, Pennsylvania reduced the number of slip/fall claims by 87 percent, resulting in a safer, more profitable store.

Case Studies Summary - To test the initial effectiveness of the GleasonESP^® electronic slip/fall prevention system, Gleason Technology completed three case studies in November 2000. These studies were designed to track the results at 54 supermarkets in the eastern United States over a two-year period. The result was a significant reduction in claims, and a nearly $10,000 drop in annual claim costs per store.
